A Little About Dr. Raz...

 Dr. Itamar Shimon Raz was born to a traditional Jewish family in Israel in 1976, in Haifa. Dr Raz emigrated to Australia as a child (age 11) and grew up in Melbourne and was educated in the traditional secular Jewish school, Mt Scopus College. After achieving the top graduation score in the school, he pursued his childhood dream of learning medicine to become a doctor.

“I always wanted to be a doctor. My mother bought me a microscope when I was young and I used to be fascinated with blood, and would do my personal research on myself, pricking my finger to draw blood and looking at it from close up...with the microscope. I thought being a doctor was the best way of helping...and I always had a heart for helping...for doing good. As we all do. This was a passion burning within me...to help as best as I can.”

Dr Raz learnt medicine in Monash University, Melbourne. During medical school Dr Raz started to develop his artistic and writing skills. "I think it was because I concentrated my mind so much on science and developed that side of the brain, that the other side was also stimulated and produced...what it had to offer. I started writing, and painting...not that I would sit there and think of what to paint...or write...I was somewhat ''forced'' to write...I had an urge, and words flowed from the pen following an idea as if light from above directed my hand, and the same with the painting...ideas came...images, that I just had to put onto canvas....so I went to some private lessons with an artist, and developed mostly with practise and again...what I felt was Divinely guided movements of the paintbrush. So while learning medicine I painted and wrote children stories and all sorts of stories in my 'spare time.' Whatever came to my mind and I understood that it was meant to 'come down to the world.’

After graduating from medical school with honours in the year 2000, Dr Itamar Raz observed many ways in which western medicine lacks in treating many illnesses. Itamar persued learning about different complamentary medicines, and during the years of practising western medicine Dr Raz specialised in allround natural medicine, especially treatments through special health programs, detoxification, superfoods and food supplements. Then came the more emotional therapy courses that added another dimention to his personality and tools of healing. Throughout this personal-professional journey Dr Itamar went through another journey of fatherhood with the birth of a special soul that had to come to the world, Noah, who was destined to come and teach Itamar many lessons, as all children do to their parents, and combine forces with Itamar to work towards the goal of world healing.

Parallel to the search for effective medical therapies, Dr Itamar searched for spiritual healing, for himself and for the world, and pursued a spiritual path, after an initial enlightenment period which began in Australia after deep meditation and fasting for several weeks, which implanted within him the vision of his path and his mission in the world...And turned his path onto the rails of the path of Hashem, and the ways of the Holy Torah, learning night and day the holy books of the Torah, Tanach and Chassidut teachings – through these teachings, shaping his life to become what it is now.
Through the learning of the secrets of the Torah and the deeper meanings of the commandments (Mitzvot), Dr. Raz ''realised the true meaning of the word 'commandment', which in Hebrew is Mitzva , which is from the root word 'Tzevet' which means 'connection/together.' The commandments are the implement, the way for us to be together with the Creator, a partner with the Creator in recreating, and sustaining the world, by drawing light down to the world through the work of our soul within our physical body. They are the present that He gave us through our Prophet Moshe Rabbeinu and the sages that followed, to connect to Him...To the existential Creator of the entire universe and all the worlds within it.
The commandments are the cable connecting us to our Creator, our Father in heaven, who chose us, the people of Israel, us Jews – sons of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya’akov. Because of our forefathers’ righteousness, we as their descendants were chosen to be a light to the world (by working on ourselves and our humility), showing the world the ways of kindness, charity and peace. And this is my message to the world.”

The transformation of Teshuva, meaning returning to the ways of the forefathers and the Holy Torah, guided Itamar to return to his roots as a Jew, and, as more and more Jews are awakening from deep in their souls, returning to the Land of the forefathers, the promised Land to the Jews, Israel. The adjustment period was incredibly challenging. Dr Itamar had to pass a time period of several years until he transferred his medical license here in Israel, and in that period he continued his learning in complimentary medicine, and spiritual teachings, learning in Yeshiva day and night, in the old city of Jerusalem. This was another period of spiritual flourishing, and incredible creativity, yielding several more children stories and novels, and deepening his understandings of the laws of the Torah.

Now Dr Itamar works in a private clinic in Jerusalem, serving the public as a general practitioner through the government medical insurance and also private patients. He offers his patients the natural choice, as well as health and cleansing programs. People come to Dr Itamar Raz from all around the country, for a further, more open minded opinion regarding their conditions. Dr Raz merges the worlds of work and spirituality, science with art and poetry, and has great dreams for future world health and peace. All the works are 'in the process and in progress...Paintings, writings, and every day of life has been directed towards the ultimate goal....to spread personal, public and world health – physical, emotional and spiritual.
He has developed several breakthrough natural medicines which are soon to be distributed world wide G-d willing, and he has written many children stories and several novels and health books with amazing teachings and morals, of kindness and peace which are also in the process of reaching out far...His paintings which have began to be sold in the past few years light up the place they're in, as well as the minds and hearts of those who view (and feel) them, with themes of peace light and redemption...
