Letter to Men and Women Wanting to Find Their Shidduch

See It On:

With G-d's Great Help - ב"ה

Dear Sir / Madam,

G-d is hearing your prayers. Sometimes it takes longer than other times to find the perfect soulmate. They are prepared for you in the heavens, and sometimes you need to go through many experiences and growth in life in order to reach that level of maturity that is required of you to join with this soulmate.

Our sages teach us that matching a pair is more difficult for the heavens than the splitting of the sea of reeds. Each matching is a complex interaction between many forces. Who you need to marry is largely based on what your correction in this life needs to be…and will determine what family you have, what experiences you will go through and what characteristics you need to work on and improve in this life.

G-d wants you to create a home with health and happiness…love and appreciation of life, G-d and your family. We all have that Yetzer we must conquer. You must conquer all traces of anger in your personality. There is no place for anger in the Jewish home. You must cultivate patience and tolerance before your marriage so that when you are tested in many ways with your family, you are able to be calm, patient and tolerant in many situations.

The more work you do to develop good characteristics before your marriage, the more help you will get from the heavens to find the right partner for you and the 'higher' their soul will be, that is, more advanced spiritually.

G-d wants you to be healthy and raise a healthy family. You must develop these habits now so that you can help your children have healthy habits as they grow up. Eat healthy, exercise, learn relaxation and meditation exercises and be able to teach these to your children.

Know that everything happens according to G-d's will, for the best, and be able to accept any challenges that come forward. It is all a big test for your character.

Of course you must read about 'Taharat Hamishpacha' - family purity and be ready to practice it, for G-d wants Jewish marriages to work with Torah and mitzvahs and family purity is very important for a Jewish marriage to work.

I would like to encourage you to have a rabbi advise you on any preparations that you need to make to be ready for a family and the mitzvahs involved between husband and wife and in raising children. The rabbi is the spiritual advisor of the community. There are many rabbis who would be happy to help you with any issue that you may have.

I would like to give you a blessing, that you should, with G-d's help, succeed in the work of self-improvement, find the true soulmate for you, from your 'Shoresh Neshama,' raise a happy and healthy Jewish family based on Torah and mitzvahs, and may your marriage bring us closer to the final redemption and the building of the Beit Hamikdash speedily in our days.

Amen
